What: The Department of Labor’s New Proposed Overtime Standards – What Should I be doing?

IronRoad strives to keep our clients informed of developments that could impact your business and this includes being proactive with updates on possible governmental regulation changes.  As you may already be aware, the United States Department of Labor (“DOL”) is preparing to publish a final rule updating the tests used to determine when employees are eligible for minimum wage and overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”). Under the proposed final rule, nearly 5 million additional employees will be eligible for overtime.  The rule is currently set to take effect in July 2016 and it is proposed that employers would have 60 days for compliance.
