IronRoad is conducting a confidential search for a Human Resources Manager for our Cincinnati client. Our client wants us to find talented individuals that are very excited and integrated into the Cincinnati community both from a personal & business perspective. The Human Resources Manager will manage all of the activities and functions of Human Resources at our client. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all components of our clients Human Resources functions to include:

Job Summary

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the human resources function, including but not limited to, recruiting, payroll, benefits administration, performance management, compliance, and training and development. The ideal individual understands how to create a dynamic culture/employee experience and understands out human resources can partner with operations to increase employee satisfaction. This position reports to VP of Human Resources.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist in driving company culture, built around our existing core values
  • Develops and administers human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel
  • Maintains job description database and provides support/clarity for roles/teams throughout the organization related to what each individual role is responsible for and how we measure success
  • Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness and other programs.
  • Leads recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-pathing program, employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing; writes and places advertisements
  • Oversees department records and reports, including DOT and DQF files.
  • Oversees accuracy and compliance with our payroll and benefit administration.
  • Develops training programs and ideas to enhance the overall employee development program throughout the organization

Education and Experience

  • 5-6 years of progressive experience in Human Resources
  • Bachelors in Human Resources or other related program, MBA preferred
  • PHR/SPHR Certification is a plus, but not required
  • Familiarity with employment laws and compliance regulations
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills
