Position Description

IronRoad is conducting a confidential search for our Cincinnati based Client who is in search of a talented and driven Production Manager. The candidate that we are searching for will be working hand and hand with the Director of Production & Creative Services. The candidate will be ready to jump in to assist with the expansion and further development of our clients live Event Production Department. The Production Manager is part of a dynamic team that is leading the charge to ensure all events are executed in a timely and financially responsible manner. The Production Manager will ensure high consideration and visibility to artistic quality and technical feasibility. Additionally, the Production Manager will assist in managing day-to-day production department operations, as well as tracking/maintaining equipment, crews, calendars, and logistics. The Production Manager may be required to directly supervise large/complex events and installations as the head of a production team. The talent that we are looking for has participated in the multi-tasking in many different areas of an Audio-Visual Organization and knows the extent of the pivoting and hands on support in many different areas of an AV organization. Required Skills/Abilities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Prefer a bachelor’s degree in technical theater or a closely related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency with CAD drafting, especially Vectorworks.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Suite.
  • Experience with scenic construction techniques and the ability to communicate with scenic fabricators.
  • Substantial knowledge of current live event technologies.
  • Excellent technical skills with a working knowledge of sound, lighting and video components and their implementation.
  • Strong and effective communication skills.
  • Experience in managing crews.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Punctual, comfortable working with other core employees, willing to work sporadic evenings and weekends.
  • Strong collaboration and leadership skills.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Self-starting, interested in thinking ahead and about how systems can be improved.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality control while keeping the big picture in mind.
  • Ability to work under high pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work extended hours with the possibility to include weekends and holidays as event schedules dictate.
